Electric Driveline For Rosenbauer Fire Truck

Volvo Penta has announced its first industrial OEM partnership in the area of electromobility with fire service vehicle manufacturer and longstanding customer Rosenbauer, Leonding, Austria.

Volvo Penta will develop the electric driveline in Rosenbauer’s first electric fire truck, the Concept Fire Truck (CFT), taking a system delivery approach. Rosenbauer uses Volvo Penta Stage 4/Tier 4 final and Euro 6 emissions-compliant diesel engines. The launch of the Concept Fire Truck is scheduled for 2021. No further details were released.
