AMC’s new electric cranes have been custom painted in the company colours

UK-based crane rental firm AMC has invested in an all-new fleet of electric mini cranes. The company has added six Maeda MC285CB-3, and five Hoeflon C6e fully battery-powered mini cranes, based across its two depots in Liverpool and London.

The new high-spec and environmentally friendly equipment is said to offer additional health and safety benefits due to the silent operation which improves on-site communications.

Each one of AMC’s new electric cranes have been custom painted in the company’s new livery in line with their recent rebrand, and given their own individual name (some named after employees and their families), including Levi, Charlotte and Zeus.

Mark Davenport, owner and managing director of AMC, commented, “Our new electric cranes will help us provide our customers with more choice, quality and reliability in bespoke lifting solutions. I am proud to see the company leading the competition in this arena as electric cranes are the future of our industry.”

The new arrivals have already contributed to AMC winning new UK contracts in 2021, including the Moxy Southampton hotel, Livingstone Academy Bournemouth (both using a C6e as work was internal where diesel fumes were not permitted), and Borough Market close to London Bridge. This is in addition to working alongside material manufacturer MICAM at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2, to help replace the iconic ‘Wall Of Honour’ glass sculpture that references the people who helped build Terminal 2.

AMC has also invested in seven eco-friendly cars for its sales team across both depots, including an all-electric VW Golf and six BMW 330 plug-in hybrids.
