Danfoss’ Editron division has appointed Eric Azeroual as new vice president, On-Highway. He will have responsibility for sales and customer delivery, together with oversight of electric powertrain development.
Azeroual brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, including time in the automotive industry working with electric vehicles. He has specialty knowledge of auto engineering, electric motors and inverters.
He has also been involved in overseeing global sales, team development and business growth.
Azeroual takes over from Thorsten Boger, who served in the role on an interim basis.
Commenting on his appointment to Danfoss’ Editron division, Eric Azeroual said: “Danfoss has become a leader in sustainable, energy-saving solutions. The Editron division is leading the charge when it comes to developing hybrid and fully electric technologies, which is why this move was the perfect opportunity to make a strong impact on growing that business.”
In the on-highway sector, Danfoss’ Editron division has recently introduced a battery-electric CV manufactured by Brazilian manufacturer Fábrica Nacional de Mobilidades (FNM).
In addition, the division has teamed up with Meritor and Electra Commercial Vehicles to create the Electric Powertrain Integration for Heavy Commercial Vehicles (EPIC) consortium.
The EPIC consortium will develop a next-generation, zero-emission electric powertrain that will provide commercial vehicle OEMs with an advanced solution designed to meet global CO2 reduction targets.
