Bauma talk looks at impact of policy on emissions

“The role of policy: an overview of the ambitious carbon-neutral goals to 2030 and 2050” will be the keynote speech for an event organised by ERA and CECE, the Committee for European Construction Equipment, during Bauma.

The talk will be given by Mrs Katharina Knapton-Vierlich, Head of Unit for Construction at the European Commission.

She will headline the ERA CECE event organised within the Bauma Forum and taking place from 10.00 to 12.00 am CET on 28 October 2022, dedicated to ‘The way to Zero Emission’.

Her speech will be followed by a panel discussion involving partners in the construction decarbonisation roadmap.

The panellists will share their views on the impact that policy and regulations have in setting a long-term roadmap to decarbonise construction activities.

They will also speak about the activities of their respective organisations in this area.

The panellists will be: Charles Bénard, Co-founder and CEO, Hiboo; Nils Vidar Rystad, Assistant Project Director, City of Oslo & Big Buyers Initiative; Eugen Schobesberger, Managing Director Technology, Liebherr-EMtec GmbH, and Chair of the CECE High-Level Technical Policy Advisory Group; and John Smeets, Technical Director, Boels Rental, and member of ERA Technical Committee.
