Burckhardt proposes new board member

Burckhardt Compression has proposed adding Mariateresa Vacalli to the company’s board of directors at the next annual general meeting on July 1. If confirmed, she would increase the size of the board from five to six.
Vacalli is the CEO of Bank Cler until the beginning of May. Previously, she was chief digital officer of Basler Kantonalbank. She is a graduate of the ETH, Electrical Engineering, with a degree in production and operations management.
Vacalli was director network support and development at Cablecom and executive director wholesale operations at Sunrise Communications. She is an experienced board member and has strong financial skills.
Her leadership experience, production and operations knowledge, innovation drive, as well as her data analytics and digital implementation skills make her a highly suitable person to join the board, Burckhardt said.
Subject to her election at the annual general meeting, the board of directors has decided that she will join the audit committee of Burckhardt Compression, which will then increase from two to three members.
