Danfoss Editron Signs Marine Electrification MOU

Danfoss Editron, Lappeenranta, Finland, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with two American firms, LAVLE and Ockerman Automation Consulting. The MOU calls for both companies to become non-exclusive partners for value added reselling of Danfoss Editron’s products in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Danfoss Editron will provide technical training and support to LAVLE and Ockerman in return.
Danfoss Editron designs, manufactures and delivers electric drivetrain system for the marine, off-highway, renewables and transportation sectors. The company’s Editron system is suitable for both hybrid and fully-electric systems.
LAVLE, Anacortes, Wash., is a joint venture company that combines energy storage technologies from Japanese battery technology company 3DOM, with the marine engineering, design and systems integration services of Ockerman. The company provides products and services to the maritime, renewable energy and defence markets.
Ockerman Automation Consulting, also in Anacortes, is an electrical consulting group that specializes in the design and application of shipboard control systems. The company designs systems which balance levels of technology with human considerations and application life cycle.
