As part of its display at bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany, Liebherr Group plans to highlight more than just traditional earthmoving equipment. It will also provide insights into its work in alternative drive concepts by showcasing pre-production electric-powered machines as well as its efforts in remanufacturing, digitization and sales and service.

At its outdoor stand (FG 809-813), the company will display its first battery-electric wheel loader and its first battery-electric telescopic handler, both of which will be near-series pre-production machines. Also on display will be the LH 26 M Industry E electric material handler with battery operated Mobility Kit. The core of this machine is the 90-kW electric motor that allows for dynamic work movements. Frequency converter technology allows the motor speed to be individually adjusted to the respective use of the machine. The Mobility Kit, which is mounted on the uppercarriage, allows emissions-free travel for up to 30 minutes independent of the power supply. The energy can also be used for short-term, reduced-speed work.

To highlight other safe, efficient and environmentally friendly options, Liebherr will also focus attention on its Reman program. The program enables old components to be reconditioned to like-new quality standards; components may also be used for a component exchange in place of a new part. Both options provide resource-friendly and economical alternatives compared to new parts purchases, the company noted.

Alongisde existing customer solutions such as driver assistance, construction site communication and automated data exchange, Liebherr will present a variety of new digital solutions aimed at making services and solutions more individual, consistent and transparent, it stated. For example, for shop managers, in the MyLiebherr portal, performance and maintenance data on machines will be available in future.

Liebherr will show intelligent assist systems and applications for machine operators, as well. For example, the MyAssistance for Earthmoving app provides machine operators with easy access to relevant information on the operation and maintenance of Liebherr machines. Remote Service provides optimal support for the daily work of service technicians, allowing construction equipment to be serviced at any time and place.
