Who’s Going To Pay For EV Recharging?

As the interest in electrification continues to expand, some of the key questions are range of operation, speed, and availability of recharging.  For the latter, there are some interesting in-motion recharging technologies being developed and tested.

But now another question has begun to emerge.  Who pays for the recharging infrastructure?  In Europe the answer seems to be sorting itself out somewhat in favor of the national government or big petrol stations or the like.

In the U.S., the argument is apparently a bit more convoluted and has to date taken on almost a state-by-state format.
