Xelectrix, an Austrian company which specialises in energy storage, optimisation and control, has unveiled its power energy storage system Unlimited M10 at Expo Dubai 2020.

The Unlimited M10 is an off-grid BEV charging point which uses renewable energy.

The system collects charge from 40 kWp photovoltaic panels. Vehicles are recharged overnight using stored energy and the charging point recharges using solar energy during the day.

The energy storage system comprises an 80 kW inverter and a 200 kWh battery pack. This delivers power via three 22 kW chargers.

The Unimited M10 is available with 35, 80 and 150 kW inverters and storage capacity from 60 to 240 kWh.

As part of the demonstration, the Unlimited M10 is being used to charge UPS trucks delivered by battery-electric vehicle manufacturer Arrival.

The trucks are reported to offer a 50% savings in operational costs over standard vehicles.

Expo Dubai 2020 is taking place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March, 2022.
